Fulton, Mo. – If you eliminate the first few minutes of the first and second halves of play, the Westminster College women’ soccer squad played visiting Fontbonne University even in a 5-1 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference loss Tuesday.

The Blue Jays (1-12, 1-4 SLIAC) fell behind 3-0 in the first six minutes of the contest and never recovered. Trailing 4-1 at intermission, Westminster surrounded the final goal in the 51st minute to Fontbonne (6-8, 4-1 SLIAC). Sophomore Megan Gunnels (Ozark, Mo./Ozark) scored Westminster’s lone goal.
