Peterson Elected SLIAC SAAC President  2/16/2010

Sean Peterson following the Polar Bear PlungeWestminster College sophomore Sean Peterson has been elected President of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for the 2010-11 school year.
Peterson, from Chesterfield, Missouri (Lafayette High School) is a midfielder on the Blue Jay men's soccer squad and has played in 29-of-31 matches his first two seasons. He is a Dean's List student and earned academic all-conference honors this past fall. He represents the men's soccer squad on the Westminster Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and has been active in recent activities including the Polar Plunge, which recently raised money to support year-round sports training and athletic competition for more than 15,000 children and adults who participate in Special Olympics Missouri.
As SLIAC SAAC President, Peterson will work with the conference commissioner and SAAC advisor to prepare meeting agendas. He will preside over committee meetings each semester and work with the national SAAC representative to ensure the conference membership is informed about national issues.
