Planning for the Future of Westminster
Faculty & Staff News
Lee Jantzen has been named the new Director of Planned Giving at Westminster College.
“I am pleased to welcome Lee to our Westminster community,” says Westminster President Dr. George B. Forsythe. “He comes to us with a highly successful record of development and planned giving experience over a 25 year period.”
Janzten came to Westminster after 15 years as Planned Giving Director and Foundation President for Converge Worldwide, a faith-based organization in Arlington Heights, IL.
In this position, he led marketing efforts, supervised field staff, oversaw 250 seminars and supported a nationwide capital campaign. During his tenure, he implemented new planned giving strategies, represented the organization to donors nationwide and led the development of new, sound investment policies for a $10 million foundation.
“Helping a donor accomplish charitable objectives is very satisfying,” says Jantzen. “Thoughtful planning often allows a donor to do more for both his family and the higher education institution he or she wants to support.”
Jantzen holds a B.S. from Oklahoma State University with post-graduate course work at the University of Nebraska. His additional studies have earned him the designations of Certified Financial Planner® and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy.
“I am impressed with President Forsythe’s leadership and vision for developing value-based leadership and vision among every student from every discipline of study,” says Jantzen. “I look forward to being a partner in not just keeping Westminster the superior educational experience it is today but helping the College grow in reputation and educational quality in the future.”
Jantzen lives in Fulton with his wife Carol. His daughter Brooke is an elementary school teacher.
