Eureka, Ill. – Senior Joe Prophet (Jefferson City, Mo./Jefferson City) scored a career and game-high 26 points, but his effort was not enough for the Westminster College men who fell 87-77 to Eureka College here Saturday in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) play.
Prophet came off the bench to shoot 9-of-16 from the field with two three pointers and 6-of-8 free throws, while grabbing a team-high seven rebounds. However, Prophet and the Blue Jays (6-7, 2-2 SLIAC) could not overcome host Eureka (6-6, 3-1 SLIAC) which shot 54 percent from the floor and 15-of-32 3-pointers. Junior Skylar Tolson (Columbia, Mo./Rock Bridge) added 14 points and freshman Verdis Lee (Fulton, Mo./Fulton) finished with 10 points for Westminster.
