Second Half Costly For Blue Jay Men In Loss

Fulton, Mo. – The Westminster College men’s basketball squad fell victim to a 15-0 second-half run and dropped a 69-56 decision to MacMurray College Wednesday in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action.
The Blue Jays (8-9, 4-4 SLIAC) led 29-27 at intermission and led 47-43 in the second half. MacMurray (7-8, 4-3 SLIAC) used a 15-0 run to take control of the game and hand Westminster its second consecutive home loss. Senior Joe Prophet (Jefferson City, Mo./Jefferson City) was the lone Blue Jay to reach double figures, finishing with a team-high 17 points and a team-high nine rebounds. Sophomore Joe James (St. Louis, Mo./Vianney) finished with nine points for Westminster. Brady Slagle scored a game-high 22 points and pulled down a game-high high 10 rebounds for the visitors.
