Christina RajmairaWestminster President Dr. George B. Forsythe announced the selection of Christina Barnett Rajmaira today as the new Vice President and Dean of Student Life at Westminster College.

“While we had many excellent candidates for this position, we were particularly impressed with Tina’s depth of experience in student development, including Greek life, leadership development, student activities, diversity/multicultural programs, international programs, risk management and crisis response,” says President Forsythe.  “We welcome her to our leadership team.”

Rajmaira will begin her duties July 1, assuming the position from Dr. Bob Hansen, who has served as Interim Dean for Student Life during this academic year.

“I am honored to have been selected to serve as the Vice President and Dean of Student Life at such a pivotal time in the history of Westminster College,” says Rajmaira.  “When I came to Westminster, I was impressed with the level of personal attention that students receive.  I am committed to making a positive contribution to the community and an impact on the lives of the students here.”

She has spent the last fifteen years at the University of California, Berkeley and is currently Assistant Dean of Students and Director of the Center for Student Leadership.  Previously, she served as Director of Student Group Advising and Staff Development, Assistant Director of Student Organization Advising and Student Organizations Advisor at Berkeley.

Rajmaira has also worked as a collegiate development consultant for Delta Gamma Fraternity in Columbus, OH.

She holds a Master in Educational Leadership from the University of San Diego and a B.S. degree in biological sciences from the University of California, Irvine.

Rajmaira will be joined in the move to Mid-Missouri by her husband Neal and infant son Hanson.
