Three Modern-Day Records Fall At Illinois College Snowbird Open

Jacksonville, Ill. - Three modern-day school records were bettered by members of the Westminster College men’s and women’s track & field teams Saturday afternoon at the Illinois College Snowbird Open.
Sarah Ogar, a junior from Mexico, Missouri (Mexico High School), broke her previous school record in the 400-meter dash, finishing seventh in 1:04.79. Sophomore
Tanisha Terrell (Vandalia, Mo. /Van Far) placed seventh in the 60-meter dash finals in 8.51. Terrell broke her previously held school record, finishing in 8.44 in the final preliminaries.
Rick Spinell, a junior from Phoenix, Arizona (North Canyon High School), tied for 19th place in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.38, topping the schools’ previous record held by him.
The women’s team placed seventh out of ten teams. The men’s team placed ninth in the 11-team field.
