Two School Records Fall At Washington U.

St. Louis, Mo. – Two Westminster College school records and 13 modern-day bests were broken by members of the track and field teams at last weekend’s Washington University Invitational which featured athletes from more than 32 schools.

Sophomore Sarah Koestner posted a time of 18:51.7 in the 5000-meter run to shatter the school record of 19:46.62 set by Jill Klatt in 1982. The quartet of sophomore Courtney Griswold, freshman Danielle Smulczenski, junior Kim Petiford, and sophomore Sarah Ogar ran 4:16.86 in the 1600-meter relay to better the record of 4:29.10 set in 1986.
