Volleyball Rallies for Win against Principia

Westminster’s volleyball team pulled out ahead of Principia College late Tuesday night after going into extra points in two of the four games.  They won the match three games to one (29-27, 21-25, 28-26, 25-19). The win moved the Blue Jays’ overall record to 11-13 and the SLIAC record to 8-4.

Lexi Collier (Weston, Mo. / West Platte) led the Blue Jays in kills, tallying 9 in the match.  She was followed closely behind, with the sisters, Jordan and Alex Berry (Kirkwood, Mo. / Kirkwood) adding 8 kills apiece.  A. Berry also led the team with 17 digs.  Collier contributed 5 block assists, while Haley Roberts (Farmington, Mo. / Farmington) chipped in 18 assists. 

The Blue Jays head to Greenville, Ill. to take on the number 1 seed Greenville College on Friday night, and then to Eureka, Ill. Saturday morning to battle Eureka College.
