Weather Halts IC True Blue/SLIAC Invitational

Jacksonville, Ill. - Saturday's Illinois College True Blue Open, which also served as the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Track and Field Invitational, was not completed because of bad weather. Nine women's and eight men's events were scored when the meet was stopped.

Two Westminster College athletes captured SLIAC Invitational titles before the day’s activities were halted. Freshman Daniel Lindeman (Columbia, Mo./Hickman) won the 10,000-meter run in a Westminster modern-day best time of 36:00.50. Freshman David McDermott (Grubville, Mo./Northwest) won the pole vault with a modern-day best height of 3.65 meters. McDermott also won the triple jump with a leap of 11.58 meters.
