Westminster College was recently named one of 240 Colleges of Distinction for 2008-2009 among America’s colleges and universities.

“We are proud of this latest honor which joins several recent accolades,” says Dr. George B. Forsythe, President of Westminster.  “Several years ago, Westminster was selected by The Washington Post as one of the 20 Hidden Gems among America’s colleges and universities.  With all the recognitions, the college has received lately, Westminster has obviously become a dazzling diamond in full view.”

In past weeks, Forbes magazine ranked Westminster 39th among the Top Fifty colleges and universities and CosmoGirl named the school one of the top 100 colleges in America for women.  These are only the latest in recognitions over the past year that include one of America’s Best Colleges (U.S.News & World Report), Best Midwestern College and one of America’s Best Value Colleges (The Princeton Review) and one of the Most Interesting Colleges in America (Kaplan-Newsweek).
