Westminster To Host Men's SLIAC Play-Off Soccer Match

Fulton, Mo. – The top-seeded Westminster College men’s soccer squad will host a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men’s soccer tournament match for just the second time in program history when fourth-seeded Webster University visits Fulton for a 6:00 p.m. semifinal contest Wednesday.
The Blue Jays (11-3-4), who went undefeated at 7-0-1 and won their second league crown in school history, meet a Webster squad (7-8-2) that finished fourth at 4-3-1 in the league standings with a win on the last day of league play. Westminster slipped by Webster 1-0 in its October 25 league contest in St. Louis.
The admission charge for conference tournament contests is set by the conference. Tickets are $5 for adults, $2 for students from conference schools (with ID), $2 for children ages 5-16, and no charge for children under 5 years old. Westminster students will be admitted free with an ID.

Westminster is 1-11 in 11 SLIAC men’s soccer tournament appearances…the Blue Jays are 1-4 against this year’s field (0-2 against Webster, 0-2 against Fontbonne, 1-0 against Greenville)…Westminster won its only tournament game in 2004 with a 2-0 victory over Greenville, but then lost to Fontbonne in the tournament final, 3-1.
