Who is a Westminster College student-athlete? Scott Pingel, the head football coach at Christian Brothers College High School (CBC) in St. Louis, is a former Westminster Blue Jay student-athlete.

Pingel, who graduated from Westminster with degrees in mathematics and secondary education in 2000, played professionally in the National Indoor Football League and in the European League after completing his All-American and record-setting career as a Blue Jay wide receiver. He returned to coach at Westminster and then coached in the German Football League before assuming a high school coaching position in St. Louis. He guided CBC to a 13-1 record this past season and a second-place finish in this year’s Missouri 6A Championships.

Pingel and his wife, Jodi, are the parents of a son, Jude, and a daughter, Claire.
