Thanks to Board of Trustee member Greg Richard '88 and his internship scholarship fund, each year Westminster students are awarded scholarships for life-changing internships worldwide. From Missouri to Washington, D.C. to Kosovo; Greg is giving students opportunities that further their success at Westminster and beyond.
Greg is passionate about supporting the Center for Career Development and has contributed for years through the Greg Richard Internship Scholarships, funding career-related software programs such as Going Global and Focus 2, and furnishing the Greg Richard Career Resource Center in the lower level of Newnham Hall. His contributions provide students with a place where they can receive career guidance, get help with resumes, and participate in both mock and real job interviews (Greg's generosity helped the Center for Career Development purchase video equipment for mock interviews).
Currently, Greg is the Executive Vice President at StrataDX, a specialty pathology services laboratory focused on diagnosing various types of cancer. He has worked in many sectors of the healthcare industry, including biotech, pharmaceuticals, clinical research and diagnostics for nearly 25 years.

We asked Greg a few questions about the impact Westminster has had on his life personally and professionally. Here's his profile and what he had to say:
What role did Westminster play in leading you to your current position/studies?
Westminster provided me an opportunity to live and learn within a diverse community, preparing me for success in the "real world." If it weren't for the help of the Center for Career Development, known then as the Placement Office, and the support of its Director, Sally Reynolds, I firmly believe my professional life would not be what it is today.
What advice can you offer current Westminster students?
Take advantage of every day you are there. You are fortunate to be a part of this unique academic experience.
Why do you support Westminster College?
I want to try to give back in some small way what was given to me, i.e. scholarships and other financial support that enabled me to attend and stay at Westminster, without which I wouldn't have been able to secure my degree or my first job.
