Class of 2012, Accounting and Business
Senator Roy Blunt
Cassidy & Associates
Westminster senior David Berry, and accounting and business major, was selected through the Kappa Alpha fraternity as one of five undergraduates from across the country an internship program in Washington, DC, involving experience in the public and private aspects of our government and leadership in DC.
For the first few weeks of the summer, David participated in a congressional internship in Senator Roy Blunt's office where he attended hearings, performed legislative research, gave capitol tours, and attended lectures. Next, David moved to the private sector and interned for a large lobbying firm called Cassidy and Associates for the remainder of the summer.
Westminster developed a presence in DC this summer; Emmerson Fellow Lara Banner is interning with the German Marshall Fund of the US, and 2011 graduate Meredith Gibbons is also working for Senator Blunt in DC. David thanks the faculty and alums who recommended him for this internship.
