All-STARS Program (formerly the Little Brother/Little Sister Program)
All-STARS are a mentoring and tutoring program that pairs college students with elementary school children in need of positive role models in their lives. Students spend one late afternoon (3:30 – 5:30) each week with their mentees at the STARS (Students and Tutors Achieving Real Success) after-school program. Transportation is not needed, just an interest in serving as a role model and as a mentor to a young child. The children’s ages range from 5-10 years old. One hour of academic credit can be earned by enrolling in LST 133 Youth Mentoring and Tutoring Leadership Lab with the instructor’s permission. This is a fun and engaging project that really makes a difference in our community.
