The Academy shall seek to develop and nurture students in the art of speaking and mastery of the English language through a platform of friendly debate. We shall thrive on the goal of Westminster College which is to develop leaders in a global community by debating on philosphical ideas, political events, scientific theories, and personal values and strive for extracurricular academic understanding of these topics. These debates, both competitive and scholarly may occur within Academy meetings, intramural events, or intercollegiate matches.
