A Message from the President and Vice President

As the President and Vice President of the Westminster College Student Government Association, we would like to show our appreciation for the ongoing involvement and support shown by the Westminster Community.  Concerts, lectures, seminars, and even off campus events aren’t even half of what makes SGA such a great asset to the Westminster Campus.  Whether by running for office, joining a club, attending an event, or volunteering on a Saturday, the Students of Westminster Campus are the driving force behind SGA.  You all serve as the active and powerful voice through which the needs and concerns of the students are communicated.

So now, as you study for exams, spend hours in the library, or stare at the clock, eagerly awaiting the weekend, we encourage you to continue to support your Student Government Association.  You may wish to voice the concerns of the student body by running for office to become a Senator or Class Officer.  On the other hand, maybe you would rather be involved in planning events on campus.  The Campus Activities Board has a great year of events planned and is always looking for more students to get involved and help out.  Whether through Into the Streets, Rock the Hill, the Community Carnival, TGIF or a campus club, SGA offers ways for all students to get involved in their campus community.

Whatever it is you decide to do, it is important to know that the door to the SGA office is always open to you.  We welcome new ideas and suggestions, and thrive on constructive criticism!  So, if you would like to play a bigger role in improving the student life and social environment of Westminster College, please don’t hesitate to drop by the office or send an email to sga@westminster-mo.edu.  Thanks again, and we look forward to another great year!

Sincerely,

Stephen Goss
