Philanthropy

Philanthropy- Contributing to the community in order to increase the well-being of mankind through efforts such as donations, events or charitable aid.



At Westminster our chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta lives up to our purpose by showing our kindness through our philanthropic acts. We currently have chosen our local philanthropy as the St. Louis Animal Rescue Center, which helps animals as well as their owners. Our International philanthropy is The Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation, which helps those with diabetes to have a better life. 

On Westminster College’s campus Alpha Gams can be seen participating in philanthropy events hosted by the college, other Greek organizations, as well as other school organizations’ events. These events have included Trick or Treat for Spare Change with Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI), Relay for Life, other Fraternity Philanthropy Weeks, Sorority Philanthropy event, as well as Westminster events such as Homecoming can drive. 

Each year as a chapter we host our very own philanthropy week in order to raise money for our local philanthropy.
