What can I do as a Student?
Volunteer!!
Live the Westminster mission statement by getting involved in a service project and help us reach our goal of 10,000 service hours.
Be sure to
submit your service hours
using the on-line reporting form (go to Current Students page and click on Service Hours Reporting Form. Be sure to click submit after you have filled in your information).
Take time to
learn about local and global issues
and reflect on how they connect to you and your role as an engaged citizen.
The great thing about this project is that
you can choose how you want to get involved
. For example, you can volunteer at service projects, you can participate civically by voting and holding your leaders accountable, you can make your voice heard on the issues that you care about, and you can engage in the issues by discussing them with your peers.
Encourage your
peers and professors to get involved.
Invite them to a service project or an awareness event.
Attend speakers and events
that educate and raise awareness on local and global issues.
Organize your own service project or educational event
around an issue that you care about and want to see changed.
