Meet the Chaplain
Meet the Christian Leadership Council

The mission of the Westminster Spiritual Life Program is to encourage and enable members of the Westminster community to grow and express themselves spiritually by providing meaningful opportunities for worship, service, fellowship, study, and pastoral counseling.  In addition, the program is committed to fostering a sense of inclusive community on campus and an awareness of the needs of others.  The Chaplain and the Christian Leadership Council coordinate this ecumenical program.

Chapel  Worship - Each Thursday at 11:15 AM students, faculty, and staff of various Christian traditions and denominations gather for worship in the college's chapel, the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Aldermanbury. The service seeks to be inclusive of many expressions of Christian worship and open to all who wish to know and experience God. The service typically includes traditional and contemporary music, scripture readings, prayers, and a meditation by the college chaplain, local minister, or guest speaker. The services are sponsored by the Spiritual Life Program and are lead by various student and campus groups. All members of the campus community are invited to attend.

Learning and Growing in the Faith - From small groups to Bible studies to topical forums students are provided with opportunities to grow in their faith.

Service Projects - Faith is at its best when it is expressed in service to others.  The Spiritual Life Program and the Christian Leadership Council provide opportunities for service on campus, in the local community, throughout the nation, and around the world.  Students may walk and raise money for hunger relief, prepare a meal at the Fulton Soup Kitchen, organize a Fair Trade Sale, volunteer on the Gulf Coast during Spring Break, or spend the summer in New Orleans or Eastern Europe.

The Life of Faith Forums - Throughout the semester local, national, and international speakers discuss the intersection of life, faith, values, politics, and popular culture.

Campus Organizations - Students can involved in campus groups such as Campus Crusade for Christ, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Lutheran Student Fellowship, and Young Life.

Local Communities of Faith - Many and diverse communities of faith can be found in Fulton and the surrounding area.

Fellowship - Faith is fun too!  Throughout the year students enjoy time together and away from the classroom.
